My Presentation: "Mean Words and Girls"

This painting was inspired by Mean Girls. It depicts what every adolescent girl goes through, things like name calling, self identity, and self worth. When girls especially feel like they don't fit in, it can result in violence. Anorexia, bulimia and cutting among young women is a huge problem.

  1. Yes, I agree adolescents have so much pressure growing up. It is sad that they go through this and the things that go through their mind and ideas of what they should do to change it. Many are very unhealthy and some deadly. I can understand somewhat because I have felt it myself, but thankfully I didn't make any type of connection to make a decision of doing something harmful to myself to change who I am because other girls or my peers didnt like me. Eventually, it'll pass and it did. As women become older we should try and push hard for girls and or adolescents in general to not have to feel this way; in addition, to stop the girls and boys who feel the need to chop others up in order for them to feel whole.
