The discussion about using the Internet as "social life" and a way to establish relationships (whether it is with friends or something more), to be very interesting. In my opinion people shouldn't use the Internet as a replacement for a " social life." It is not the same to establish some sort of relationship with someone through the Internet, rather then when you meet someone face to face. For all you know the person your talking to is not really how they describe themselves (sometimes using pictures that aren't their own), for example they could be telling you their 21 but they can end up being 53 or something. I understand that some people have trouble socializing, so they use the Internet to establish relationships. I think it's fine, unless you spend all day in the computer and have no real relationships ( as in being able to talk to a friend face to face). Being so attached to the computer can be unhealthy, in my opinion. I think that even if people have cyber-friends (or whatever they want to call them) is okay as long as you don't take it to seriously, or use it as a replacement for your social life (Plus some online relationships can turn dangerous).
