My cultural document is a funny Billy Mays video. Someone dubs in their voice to make the video more ridiculous than it already is. I think this video shows that our culture is centered around crude, sarcastic humor and material things. Television is absolutely over run by commercials and buying ridiculous items that we don't really need. Granted the infomercials do sometimes sell products that truly work it shows how our society is based on material things and selling items that are unessential. The products sold to us are often sold in funny way too. Such as when Billy Mays makes a chain with the mighty putty and someone outs their hand under it not to subtly as if it might not actually work. I don't think there are any social justice themes or issues here. Just really shows out typical American culture.
