Cultural Document

The document I chose was "Superbad." This movie right now in our culture shows the amount the immaturity and indecency that all young adults love now a days. I for one find this movie hilarious, and this shows how we now accept all the bad behavior in teenagers because we now think all this "partying" and having sex is part of this culture's norm. That we have thrown modesty out of the door and brought in dirty humor that is captivating millions. The American culture goes for what is in and what sells and sex, humor, and making fun of people is what people want, then the media will give it to them. This type of comedy makes me laugh, and this shows how America is changing, (who knows if for the good or not), but how we have gone from tear jerking classics to knee jerking comedies and how comedies have really come a long way. The social justice issues might have to do with the people that get made fun of during the movies or ones that get affected by the jokes in the media, but it is all supposed to be in good fun.
