One thing Ive noticed about American Culture is the growing and increasing popularity of things from foreign cultures becoming mainstream in America. a few exampls: there are growing numbers of Taco Bells around the country, showing how Mexican Food is becoming americanized and also showing how its becoming popular among americans. Another example is how Japanese culture is becoming mainstream and popular in America; you cant walk in a borders or barnes and noble without noticing the Japanese Manga section. theres also the popularity of anime cartoons, video games, etc.
Another thing ive noticed, using my group of friends as an example, how things spread. I am currently reading a Manga called Deathnote because a friend of mine got me into it, and i recently got my friends into it and my brother into it, so im sure he will spread it among his friends. I think this goes back to the notion of Viral, with the idea of how quickly things spread.
