The image I chose to write about shows a good example of American culture. This video I found on youtube shows a clip from the television show none other than "American Idol." American Idol is a reality based t.v show that allows regular people to display there talent and America then votes everyweek on their favorites. This show is a huge part of our culture , however the fact that America has these people's musical lives in their hands is a bit on the scary side. America choses who they believe is the most talanted, but is talent the real contest? America also votes on other aspects that turn the contest into a popularity contest. America votes also on the most funniest, cutest, and even ditsiest contestant. The outcome is the winner receives a record deal and a chance to make a career off there talents. America brings them up to stardom but then has the power to also have this new crowned idol rise or fall.
