Dear Jan Powers,

I have to say that I agree with you on the fact that you should care about the war or at least other things that are going on in the world and in your community. It would be a sad thing if your brother had to go to war, but it’s still a sad thing that other men are going to war and are dying even though none of them happen to be your brother. Yes looking at the news can be a sad thing, seeing all the violence and injustice there is going on, but it’s a part of the issues that are occurring in the world and need to be solved. I have to say it does bring me some relief to know you aren’t God or anyone with the power to change things. Now that we all know you are egoistic and ignorant, it’s good to know that there isn’t much you can do about the problems people are facing. Your views on war are quite amazing. It actually shocked me that you even had the ability to think of the world since you only think about yourself. I have to say that you speak for yourself on your thought that “We have to have war,… apparently everyone gets enjoyment out of it.” I honestly don’t know anyone else who shares that same thought with you. By the way I would like to thank you for showing me what ignorance and lack of knowledge can do to a person. After reading about you, it has motivated me even more to stay in school and get an education so that I don’t end up like you, so thanks!

P.S. I also think your fiancé should be a little worried about your engagement considering how you said you couldn’t think of anyone you loved, or had respect for, and how you are already thinking about divorcing him. Well I guess all I can say is, best of luck to him!
