I stumbled upon a documentary on Youtube called Because the Bible tells me so. If someone was raised Christian they would know that they are suppose to believe everything the bible tells them. Many people use this excuse to have hatred towards the homosexuals because the bible states that homosexuality is a sin and abomination towards God. This documentary goes through several different lifes of homosexuals that were raised Christian and the struggles they had to go through. Also they show what other people would say or do to make them feel bad for being homosexual and how each of their Christian parents acted towards their homosexuality. This video shows that our culture would even use the Bible to oppress a society of people and make them feel bad for being who they are. This video is a example of oppression, powerlessness and even violence.
This is a 9 part documentary i advise everyone to watch whether your straight, homosexual, reglious or not. It's very powerful story.
