RN #10

I read Asad, Laura and Oscar V.’s blogs that all had to deal with mothers and I learned it is best to cherish the moments you have with your mother and/or family now because you never know when things can change for the worst. The blogs do make a statement about our society that family is important and the base of any person. Some themes I gathered was simply family and motherhood, and one important thing into being a mother is knowing that you are not perfect but you should try your best. These blogs compared to my blog is quite different because the person I interviewed said that you cannot really rely on people, even if they are your family and the blogs I read are showing more of family togetherness. Some class discussion questions would be; is it better to be a stay at home mom or dad? Do you think society forces a thought in people’s head saying that everyone should get married and have kids? What age should a kid be when the mother or father goes back to work? Three topics I would research if I was making this into a larger project would be growing up without a father and only mother, later outcomes of tragedy in a child’s life, and relationship between mother and father and how it affects the kids. There were no new words but one thing that was mentioned was when your kids start having kids, you realize you’re getting old, I thought that was interesting.
