letter to Helen Peters

Dear Ms Helen Peters

I enjoy reading briefly experiences of your life and life style. I am very surprised to find out that women like you had that perspective of life and lived their life accordantly specially at that point in history. I believe you were a huge inspiration for other women at that time and for women now.

I share your believes and conduct in life. Even though a wife and mother’s first priorities are her husband and children, it is important that a woman does not loose her identity in life and find that balance. I am very happy you could find that balance in life. It is probably very difficult to keep up with the household and all the activities you seem to be involved with. I am just curious if you feel that society blames you for not been a good mother because you have o part time job and few outside home activities. I am also very surprise that you are opened minded when it comes to stereotyping, racism and politics.

Although I agree with most of your ideas, I believe you are a little harsh with those women from PTA that have nothing left for themselves but the PTA. Maybe they were not so fortunate like you, to have a husband do support you on your decisions. On the other hand, maybe they come from a different background with fewer opportunities to a better life. Yes, I know that you think that everybody has equal opportunities to better himself or herself if they choose to but sometimes life is more cruel to some than others or some are weaker than others.

I admire your strength in life, your involvement in every aspect of your life family, work and politics.

Sincerely

Ionela Teodora Lescaie
