“The world should take Christianity and ban it for a certain period of years. Just shelve it for a while, give it a rest…teach man that in order to stand he’s got to stand on the two feet the good Lord gave him and not use the Lord as a third foot of a third hand.” *Henry Lorenz, Homeowner p. 126.
Why is it that we thank God when something good happens but God is testing you or He works in mysterious ways when something bad happens?

I'm talking from my own personal experience.... I guess most of the time when bad things happen i find a reason not to blame myself... Usually when bad things happen i know they happen because of a bad decison i made... maybe karma.... It's just a way to make myself feel better when i know it's my fault.... it's easier to say i'm being tested than it's my fault
ReplyDeleteI think alot of people go off of what the bible suggests in the Book of Job.
ReplyDeleteummm............at least i believe that we should stop asking why God allows something to happen because God is beyond the question, that is, beyond good and evil / right and wrong.
ReplyDeleteoh but to answer your question, I think people say those things because people in general always look for ways to generalize or to point a finger whether good or bad.
