Iconic Image

The image I that I have chosen depicts the Tiananmen square protests which occurred in China between April 14 and June 4 1989. This rally was held by Chinese college students to oppose the governments strict authority and move China towards democracy. I believe this picture is symbolic because it shows how the people are able to stand up against a military power. I also think that this photo gives an individual the hope to accomplish change within a government.
