A Different Sort of a Affection

I really enjoy this image for a couple different reasons.

For starters, I feel like the artist Banksy, did a fantastic job of creating an image that get right to the point of the meaning.

Images that are simple, can be the most brilliant of all. This picture of the man throwing a bouquet of flowers is a graffiti stencil, so it had to be an image that the artist could quickly post on a train, wall, or park bench etc.

In the world we live in, violence is a reality for many people. Some places in the world that experience a lot of violence are the Gaza strip, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Even parts of the United States, like East Washington D.C., or Detroit, Michigan also experience an alarming rate of violence.

What is so awesome about this stencil is the message of peace it tries to communicate. A bouquet of flowers is often thought of as a symbol of affection or gratitude. What a radical thing it would be, if as people everywhere could treat others in that mindset.
